Kana Winery 2006 Workingman’s Red, Columbia Valley, Kana Winery 2006 Workingman’s Red, Columbia Valley Red Wine is a blend of Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Syrah, Grenache, Counoise and Mourvédre from the who’s who of various Columbia Valley vineyards. This year-to-year award winner represents portions of our barrels that we produced a little extra of and produced with all the same qualities and hands-on care that our reserve wines receive.
A consistency is spice from the varietals chosen and from the American and French oak program it receives and its value. Note the raspberry liquor, strawberry jam, vanilla-bean, and hints of spice-box on the nose and similar sweet fruits in the mouth, along with ripe tannins and a bright finish - the kitchen sink never tasted so good! This honest-day-at-work red reminds that "all you got to do is smile, smile, smile!"
